Happy end of month! And what a month it’s been. I fully intended to send out a newsletter on release day and then a week after release day and then and then… I kept getting sucked into other things. So here’s my end of month wrap up with updates, what’s next, what I’ve been reading, a shout out and a sneak peek 🌵 Oh and I kind of maybe share Book 2’s title 🤭
Updates
Jumping In has officially been released into the world and the love for Mac and MJ, Oakridge, and The Dream Team has completely blown me away. It was never about the ratings or money for me - publishing was the dream - but the fact that Jumping In has a 4.3 star rating on Goodreads right now has me floating on cloud nine!!
Thank you to all of the readers out there who took a chance on me and my debut. To the ARC readers, influencers, and everyone who has shared their love for Jumping In and recommended it, reviewed it, all the things… thank you.

In other news — I’ve officially finished the first draft of book 2! June’s writing challenge got me showing up almost daily and I cranked out just under 30k words this month!
Book 2 Title Reveal
If you’ve read the Kindle Unlimited version of Jumping In then you may have noticed I snuck the title of Book 2 in there! Now that the first draft is done, I think it’s time to officially share the title…

What’s Next
Now that my first draft of Falling In is complete - I’m going to jump right into some revisions while the story is still fresh. Then I’ll let it sit for awhile and rest (and maybe start outlining book 3). A few rounds of edits are ahead of me and then I’ll be looking for Alpha readers so watch for that announcement sometime in July.
What I’ve Been Reading
I’ve been in my backlist era - finishing up series that I started but never finished or reading the most recent books that have come out in series that I love.
I recently discovered Carian Cole and have absolutely devoured her Ashes & Embers series - it’s rockstar romance, interconnected standalones.

Speaking of rockstars - my friend and fellow writing buddy finished her first draft of her debut, Love Blackout and I’m so freaking excited for her!

Sneak Peek
Last but not least, here’s a little unedited sneak peek from Falling In.
“Hey, can I ask you something?” MJ nods. “But promise not to laugh or squeal or say I told you so.”
MJ nods again, and raises her hand up, showing me her four fingered scout’s honor.
“What do butterflies feel like?” I ask, just above a whisper, and then look over her shoulder again to catch Blake, Mac and Austin looking our way. Their voices are hushed as they talk amongst themselves.
After teasing me for never having butterflies before, MJ describes the exact feeling I had yesterday and a few times today. Damn it.
